Easy, one bowl - dark chocolate cake.

This is a fail proof chocolate cake recipe, quick and easy, so perfect when you in a hurry!


3 cups self raising flour

3/4 cup cocoa

2 cups sugar

1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

200g butter, softened (not melted)

1 cup milk

3 eggs

1 cup strong boiling hot coffee

Heat oven to 160°c. Grease and line the base of a 30cm cake tin or 2x 20cm cake tins. Place all ingredients in a bowl or food processor. Mix or whizz until all ingredients are just combined. Pour into tins. Bake for 55 - 60 min. 

Allow to cool in tins. This will last approximately approximately a week in a covered container.
